Can Something as Simple as a Thought Bring You More Real Estate Business Online?
Successful real estate pros are generally “doers.” They get things done. Period.
And so it’s no wonder that when you look at successful Realtor® to model and emulate, you see what they are doing.
You see their website, you see their ads, you see their clothes, you see their postcards…
You use “creative emulation” to adapt what you see working for them and apply it to your business. Only for some reason, you don’t get the results they get.
Why is that? You’re doing everything they’re doing, why isn’t it working for you?
It’s because what you don’t see is their THINKING – the reason for their doing. The thinking is the most important thing, because without it, you are just like a boat without a rudder. And in this current market, you’ll be rowing your brains out just to try to keep from sinking.
You might think this sounds too “touchy-feely,” too mushy, not enough hands-on stuff for a technology article of all things.

Those are empty thoughts. They don’t resonate with anyone because they can’t be true.
If they were true, there would be no need for other Realtors®. The “one-stop shop” would get all the business. There would be no reason to go anywhere else.
Just today, I read this quote in the Palm Beach Post:
“Today, there are some 11,000 Realtors in a county [Palm Beach County, FL] that’s on pace to sell less than 10,000 existing single-family homes for the year.”
That’s more Realtors® than expected sales.
You need to think differently.

What’s your BIG goal for your real estate website? If your answer is “getting more business,” that’s all well and good, but it doesn’t exactly separate you from the other thousands of Realtors® with the same goal in your market.
And I don’t mean your goal for YOU, I mean your goal for THEM, your visitors and your clients?
Take a moment to picture that goal. What do your clients look like when they reach that goal? What are they saying to you? How are they saying it? What are the expressions on their faces? How are they acting?
Paint that picture as vividly as you can in your mind.
Now, paint it with words for your visitors on your website.
Those are the thoughts that you need to communicate online. Those are YOUR thoughts. Those thoughts will attract business, because your visitors will want to reach that goal you describe for themselves. And you will be able to help them do it.
