What would happen if...?

Imagine this…

It’s been a great year for you and your real estate business. With any luck, you will triple your income this year and spend most of December vacationing somewhere warm, bright and exotic. You’ve planned your work and now you are working your plan.

Until it happens.

Your laptop is stolen. And with it goes your entire client and prospect database. A few thousand names… down the drain.

What would happen to your business if your computer vanished?

If you are like most people, it wouldn’t be a pretty picture.

The good part is that the solution is easy. The catch is that you have to take action before you actually have a problem.

The best sales theory tells you that you can’t sell prevention. Most people will only take action after they run into a compelling problem. Unfortunately for you and your business, after you lose your data it is just too late.

Backing up data isn’t a technology problem, it is most often a people problem. Most people just don’t (or won’t) do it. Don’t ask me why, but I see it time and time again.

The moral of the story is simple: Backup your data.

Pay a few dollars a month for an online backup service such as IBackup and steer clear of disaster.
