Stop advertising for the big guys.
It’s time to stop using your email address to advertise someone else’s company.
SBC, Comcast, ATT, Earthlink and your local internet service providers don’t pay you enough to be spreading their brand every time you send out an email. Plus, you’ve got your own business that you want people to know about, right? So stop giving the big guys a free ride. If your real estate business currently uses an email address that ends in something like att.net, sbcglobal.net, comcast.net, earthlink.net or something similar, change it now.
Register your own domain name (like www.yourname.com) and start using your email address as the powerful marketing tool it can be.
Successful real estate professionals don’t blend in with the crowd. They stand out, as big and bold as they possibly can.
How do you set yourself apart?
You do it by actually being different… And using an email address that ends in sbcglobal.net, aol.com, comcast.net or something similar is not going to cut it.
It may seem like a small detail, and yes, it is a detail, but not a small one. It is very important.
The smartest thing to do is to register your own domain name somewhere like GoDaddy or Network Solutions and start setting yourself apart from the crowd.
You don’t even need to get a website (yet). Just get your domain name and sign up for email service. That can be your first step to moving from commodity land, where everyone is basically the same, to your own brand: your own special way of doing business.
Developing your own brand is the way to go. Be something different that will make your clients talk. Being yourself and spreading the word about what makes you different is about the smartest marketing strategy there is.
